This project is inspired by the ARCASIA emergency architects network initiative and on-going flood risk vulnerability reduction programmes conducted in Chiangmai.

The project aims to work within real constraints of this community and to develop a holistic strategy for reducing flood risk vulnerability and improve resilience of the community through the intervention of architectural innovations. The model community consists of 50 houses and a community facility that is aimed for regular function/s (non-specialist buildings). The community facility is meant to accommodate 200 residents that may be effected during floods.
