The space they are looking for, while some aspects are the same as that of the younger generations, the other aspects are likely to be different. How do declining health and changed life rhythm impact the space? In terms of social interaction, seniors may connect with the type of people different from when they were young. There is potential for seniors to co-habituate with multiple generations, live with other seniors who lead a similar lifestyle, even a possibility of living with pets rather than people. Students may imagine their future when they get old, or consider other senior members close to them. Consequently, the housing design is not intended merely to shelter the seniors, as a senior housing project, but it should introduce a new typology, aim to foster a new value of residential complex.
