Frederick Wong started his design career working in architecture firms Anthony Ng Architects and Dennis Lau and Ng Chun Man Architects and Engineers.  During this time he worked on planning projects, housing developments, offices and mixed-use developments.  The scale of the projects varied in proportion and provided training experience ranging from business development presentations, architectural and planning design, Buildings Department approval processes, clients and consultants coordination and project management.  In 2002 he ventured into the field of interior design.  He worked for BTR Workshop and X Act Limited on projects that include residences, offices, restaurants and bars.  This was a time when he learned to design in a more intimate scale and with more comprehensive involvement in the projects from research and design to client liaison and project management.  He established Architectural Works Limited in 2005.  His works primarily deals with interior design with an emphasis on the spatial experiences and materiality.  The works are a continuation of the knowledge and experiences gained from his academic and work experiences.  He is also a photographer with works published in Home Journal, Perspective, HINGE and South China Morning Post.  Besides his design practice he also teaches architecture at City University of Hong Kong and Chu Hai College.
